How much does event printing cost?

The honest answer is that it depends, but not in a vague way. Four factors move the number, and once you know them you can estimate your own event within a reasonable range.

What's a realistic starting price?

A staffed on-site printing station typically starts around $5,000 for a local Southern California event. That covers the crew, presses, artwork prep, and setup and teardown. Blanks are itemized on top, and travel outside Orange County, LA, and San Diego adds a flat fee.

What makes the price go up?

Four things: how long the station runs, how many guests it has to serve, the product mix you choose, and travel. A short reception with basic tees for 150 people sits near the bottom of the range; an all-day festival serving thousands with hoodies and caps sits well above it.

How is the crew priced?

Skilled operators run about $250 per hour, and that includes the setup hours before doors and teardown after. More stations mean more hands, which is what keeps the line fast when the crowd is large — so crew cost scales with the throughput you need.

Is there a minimum order or event size?

Yes. Because we bring a full production line and a trained crew, live printing is built for events with real volume rather than a dozen pieces. If your headcount is small, we will tell you honestly and point you to a better fit rather than overselling a station.

Does the garment choice really matter that much?

It's the single biggest lever you control. A basic Gildan or Bella+Canvas tee costs a fraction of a heavyweight hoodie or a structured Richardson cap. Picking a smart product mix is the easiest way to hit a budget without cutting the guest experience.
